Minae buscará retomar plan de política energética nacional
Este jueves, distintos sectores del país buscarán retomar conversaciones que orienten hacia el proceso de construcción de la política energética nacional como iniciativa del Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía, mediante un Diálogo Nacional de Transporte y Combustibles.
El máximo jerarca del Minae, Edgar Gutiérrez Espeleta, inició este miércoles el proceso para conocer los principales insumos que permitan terminar de concretar el VII Plan Nacional de Energía, que busca incorporar tanto al transporte público como al privado, además ir de la mano con la constante mejora de la calidad en los combustibles.
“El sector de transportes es el mayor consumidor energético en el país y responsable del 67% de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI). Atender los desafíos que plantea este sector, es una prioridad para la actual administración a fin de continuar con la consolidación de un modelo bajo en emisiones”, manifestó Gutiérrez Espeleta.
El diálogo buscará los espacios para analizar aspectos como la renovación de la flota vehicular, la actualización de la normativa para el control de emisiones, además se explorará la posibilidad de la creación paulatina de otros tipos de combustibles como los biocombustibles, el hidrógeno y el gas.
Dichas sesiones de trabajo serán desarrolladas mediante tres ejes estratégicos que serán la base para el intercambio de ideas entre los sectores implicados: Transporte limpio y eficiencia energética, transporte público e infraestructura vial asociada; además un último eje orientado hacia analizar detalladamente los combustibles y las energías alternativas.
